Painting and drawing in Liselund on the Island of Fyn

Liselund with its reed-thatched, half-timbered houses is one of the most idyllic spots on the Danish island of Fyn. It is within sight of the Baltic beach on the Great Belt and surrounded by woods, fields and currant plantations.

The sandy beach just 150 m away is perfect for bathing. The mistress of the house, Jette Meyer, provides healthy and varied cuisine to nourish our physical being. Even breakfast is a feast as she conjures up freshly baked bread rolls, an enormous selection of home made preserves, delicious Danish cheeses, muesli and fruit. It is difficult to imagine evening meals cooked with greater creativity and her desserts are simply irresistible.

Each summer, this is the setting for a painting and drawing workshop under the instruction of Brigitte Guhle. Models are available for nude studies in the mornings. After lunch, students venture out with their painting equipment into the natural surroundings to capture the countless views of the stunning Fyn countryside. There are also opportunities to sketch the faces of the locals and trips to Kerteminde and Nyborg are planned. Those who are interested can also use the free day to visit Copenhagen.

Costs for accommodation, half-board and course: € 950 (single room supplement € 70)
